Small groups (up to 4) of same year students creates a natural learning environment where ideas and views can be shared and discussed. This is appropriate for students that know each other well and will feel comfortable sharing ideas and feedback
1.5 hour sessions can be delivered online or face to face, including time before the session to settle students and after to consolidate learning. An independent task may be generated if the student would like this and personalised feedback would be given on the work
This 1 hr session of tutoring provides dedicated and specific feedback to an individual student. This might be appropriate for a child that has a specific need or is focused on a specific level of progress. Some students are naturally more confident in this setting and this can be delivered online or face to face.
Some students have developed an ease of communicating or are comfortable in different location and suit online. This will enable feedback to be given but lacks the immediacy of face to face. It is a preference of style as the student may find this intense or respond well. This face to face session is one hour and would be delivered in your own home.
In years 10 and 11 Samtheenglishteacher will cover aspects of the GCSE specification. We can cover most exam board content and can work alongside or distinguish completely from school lessons.
At KS3 we teach skills through a variety of extracts and sources.
Students in both age ranges would be expected to produce work that was available for feedback.
