PART TWO
This poetry masterclass will focus on a cluster of poems within the power and conflict choice with AQA English literature- this can be studied in conjunction with the other masterclasses or in isolation.
This will include Tissue, Checkin' out me History, Emigree and Kamikaze
We will explore the concepts of identity and power in these poems through themes, context and comparison. By the end of the session you will be familiar with the poems and have your own understanding of each poem and how the differ. This will be discovered through interactive learning activities, modelling and writing plans. Each session includes a clear process for writing a comparison and the option to submit and get a sample answer marked by an experienced examiner

PART THREE
This poetry masterclass will focus on a cluster of poems within the power and conflict choice with AQA English literature- this can be studied in conjunction with the poetry PART ONE masterclass or in isolation.
This will include The Prelude, London, Ozymandias, To My Last Duchess and Storm on the Island
We will explore the concepts of nature, power and conflict in these poems through themes, context and comparison. By the end of the session you will be familiar with the poems and have your own understanding of each poem and how the differ. This will be discovered through interactive learning activities, modelling and writing plans. Each session includes a clear process for writing a comparison and the option to submit and get a sample answer marked by an experienced examiner
ALWOODLEY SUNDAY 19TH APRIL 1.30-3.30PM
This masterclass in revision will help to understand themes and ideas in Macbeth, how to understand and approach analysis of the text. The session will include modelling answers by talking through planning and structuring an essay including introductions and conclusions. It will help organise revision approaches and provide notes and frameworks to support independent learning
ALWOODLEY SUNDAY 26TH APRIL 1.30-3.30PM
This nineteenth century novel masterclass will analyse ideas and themes explored in the text and focus on how to plan and answer a question; this model will support revision as well as providing a deep understanding of the text. Designed to compliment learning in school. Please indicate the text that the student is studying in school when booking.
